Terms of Service
Last updated: August 22, 2026
These terms govern your use of Service Edge Digital (“we,” “us,” the “service”). By using the service or signing an order form, you agree to them.
The service
We provide operations services for home-services companies — including automated call answering, appointment booking, missed-call text-back, and call transcription and reporting. Exactly what we run for you is set out in your order form and statement of work, not by this page.
No guaranteed results
Outcomes depend on many factors we don't control — your market, your pricing, your call volume, and how you run your business. Any examples or estimates on this site are illustrative. We make no promise of any particular result, revenue, or number of booked jobs.
The Operations Diagnostic
The Operations Diagnostic is a fixed-scope, two-week engagement paid in full up front. It produces a written report and roadmap. If you go on to an installation, the diagnostic fee is credited in full against it. The diagnostic fee is not otherwise refundable once work has begun.
Payment
- Installation is billed 50% on signature and 50% on go-live.
- Monthly fees are billed in advance. The first month is due at go-live.
- Installation fees are not refundable once work has begun.
- If an invoice is more than 15 days overdue we may pause the service after giving you written notice first. We will not cut service off without telling you.
Term and exit
After installation the service is month-to-month. Either of us can end it with 30 days' written notice.
- You own your phone number. If you leave, we port it back to you or to a carrier of your choosing within 10 business days, at no charge.
- You own your data. You can request a full export of your call records, transcripts, and customer data at any time, and we provide one on termination. We delete it from our systems within 30 days after that.
Support
We respond to support requests within 4 business hours. If your call flow is down, we respond within 1 hour.
We do not publish an uptime guarantee. The service depends on third-party telephony, AI model, and hosting providers whose availability we do not control. Promising a number we cannot enforce would not be honest, so we commit to response times instead — which is the part that is actually ours to keep.
Changes to scope
Anything outside the signed scope is quoted and agreed before work starts. We do not add billable work without asking, and we do not quietly drop work either.
Your responsibilities
These are not boilerplate. Installation runs to a timeline, and every item below is something only you can supply — if they slip, the timeline slips with them.
- Give us accurate service, pricing and coverage information, and keep your account details current.
- Name one point of contact with authority to make decisions, so we are not waiting on a committee mid-installation.
- Come back to us within 3 business days on anything we send you during installation.
- If we run any outbound messaging for you, the consent records and the provenance of your customer list are yours, and you warrant in writing that they are sound. We will not message a list you cannot account for.
- Use the service lawfully — including complying with call-recording, telemarketing, and messaging laws (for example, obtaining any consent your state requires). See our AI & call-recording disclosure.
- Only use the service for your own legitimate business communications.
Fees & billing
Fees are the installation fee and recurring monthly shown on your order form. Recurring fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing on renewal with notice.
Seasonal pause. Home services is seasonal. You can pause at 50% of your monthly fee for up to three months in any twelve, with the service still running but not actively managed. Ask and we will arrange it — we would rather do that than lose you over a quiet quarter.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, harass or defraud anyone, send prohibited or unsolicited messages, or interfere with the service's operation or security.
Third-party services
The service works with third-party providers (telephony, payments, scheduling, and more). Your use of those may be subject to their terms, and we aren't responsible for their acts or outages.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service in violation of these terms or of law — including claims related to messages sent, calls recorded, or consents you were responsible for obtaining.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state of Iowa, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms; we will change the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
