What this doesn't do.
Every vendor page tells you what a product does. This one tells you where it falls over, what isn't built, and when we'd tell you not to buy. You'll find this out eventually — better now, while it costs you nothing.
When we'd tell you not to buy
Below roughly 100 inbound calls a month, this doesn't pay for itself. The arithmetic is simple: at low call volume the number of calls we can recover is small, and the monthly is not. A shop taking 40 calls a month is better served by a cheap answering app they run themselves, or by a part-time person. We will tell you that on the call rather than sell you a diagnostic you don't need.
The same goes if your problem isn't the phone. If you're booking everything that comes in and the issue is lead volume, marketing spend, or pricing, we are the wrong purchase. The diagnostic is partly designed to find that out — and if it does, you'll have paid $2,500 to avoid paying us for a year to fix the wrong thing.
There is no human transfer
The assistant cannot warm-transfer a caller to a person. If someone asks for a human, it takes their details and arranges a callback — usually within the hour — but the call ends.
For most after-hours calls that is fine, because there is nobody to transfer to anyway. During business hours, with staff sitting there, it is a real limitation and we would rather you knew before installation than discover it in week two.
Outbound messaging isn't available yet
Appointment reminders, review requests and reactivation campaigns are built, but we are not selling them. The compliance work around outbound messaging isn't finished to a standard we are willing to run on your customers, and the fines land on you.
Front Desk — what we do sell — replies to people who called you. That is a materially different consent position from messaging a list, which is exactly why one is available and the other isn't.
Invoicing and payments aren't available yet
Taking your customers' card details means handling money that isn't ours, and that path is being rebuilt. Until it is done, Full Operations is not open.
No Housecall Pro or Jobber integration
We integrate with calendars. We do not currently integrate with field-service management software. If your dispatch lives entirely inside Housecall Pro or Jobber, bookings will land in your calendar and someone will have to move them across.
This is on the roadmap, and it is honestly a reason to wait if it would be the deciding factor for you.
Multi-location is unproven
We have not run a multi-site installation. The system is built for it, but built-for and proven-at are different things, and we would rather have two reference installations behind us before charging someone for the privilege of being first.
Things it gets wrong
- Heavy accents and bad connections. It handles both better than it used to and worse than a person does. On a genuinely poor line it will ask someone to repeat themselves more than you would like.
- Callers who won't stay on topic. It is good at interruptions and less good at someone telling a long story with the address buried in the middle.
- Quoting. It gives ballpark ranges you set. It will not quote a firm price on a job nobody has looked at, and we would not want it to.
- Anything genuinely unusual. A caller with a situation your scripts never anticipated gets a callback rather than a confident wrong answer. We consider that correct, but it is a limitation.
We are a small company
Support is business-hours response within 4 hours, and within 1 hour if your call flow is down. There is no 24/7 support desk. We do not publish an uptime figure because we depend on third-party telephony, model and hosting providers whose availability we do not control — and promising a number we cannot enforce would be the first dishonest thing on this site.
Still think it fits?
Then the diagnostic is the way to find out properly — two weeks on your own call records, and a written answer either way.
